Charles Clark began producing this tenite (plastic) version of the Water Scout about the same time that the "Little Eddie's" appeared on the market in 1946. This and other "Duckbill" versions were made with an assortment of different bill designs. Some were adjustable for different depths, while others had no adjustments at all. The "Jointed Duckbill" above is shown in a black shore pattern which was and still is very popular and available throughout the Clark bait series. Lures such as this are considered "semi-tough" to locate in E condition or better specimens. As with all of the Water Scout series, the "Jointed Duckbill" sports the familiar trademark "Keel".
